 Core Function:

As a tour guide, you are responsible for consistently delivering a safe, fun-packed experience providing accurate tour information to guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent Chukka Caribbean professionally at all times.
• Conduct oneself consistent with the policies and procedures of the company.
• Ensure that you’re properly groomed and neatly attired in the company uniform at all times.
• Carryout daily operation to ensure a smooth and efficient flow.
• Report all incidents and accidents to the Team Leader/Supervisor immediately.
• Complete accurately all incidents and accidents reports. Information must be communicated to the Team Leader/Supervisor immediately.
• Conduct maintenance according to schedule.
• Ensure that the area and facilities are clean and free of litter to enhance the location.
• Adhere to all company standards and policy.
• Maintain a harmonious team spirit among team members by maintaining friendliness, professionalism and adherence to company vision and values.
• Assist with periodic inventory of resources and equipment.
• Ensure to report any equipment failure, malfunction & breakdowns.
• Conform to all safety practices that are put in place.
• Conduct the tour in accordance with the environmental policy of the organization.
• Conduct schedule tour and equipment inspection and accurately log the information.
• Ensure that all guest have signed disclaimers and waivers.
• Conduct daily and weekly inspection when assigned to do so by the CSO and ACSO.
• Report any inspection or tour abnormality to the Team Leader (CSO) immediately.
• Conduct regular washing and sanitization of equipment.
• Take ownership of all equipment whether assigned or unassigned.
• Ensure equipment are adequate and clean prior to guests arrival
• Prepare guest for tours in accordance to safety standards and company policies.
• Conduct orientation in accordance to company standards.
• Ensure that all guests are provided with accurate tour information.
• Carry guest on tour in accordance to training and SOP.
• Conduct pre-danger zone checks to ensure that all equipment is secured properly.
• Connect and disconnect the guest from the elements of the tour.
• Ensure that guests adhere to all safety procedures.
• Recommend the removal of anyone from the tour who fails to meet the minimum requirements or who breaches the safety procedures .
• Recommend the discontinuation of a tour for safety reasons.
• Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
• Conduct minor repairs of tour area, resources and infrastructure.
• Work on other locations as assigned.
• Effectively carry out all other assigned duties from time to time by your supervisor or manager.
