The incumbent will be responsible for providing basic health care to all, Guests and Employees and has responsibility to maintain health and safety regulations for the organization. This will include the effective accident prevention and other safety programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Nursing Degree in general nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of Jamaica as a registered nurse (License to be renewed every two years)
- At least 5 years’ experience with 3 years’ experience in emergency care
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry is definitely an asset
- Knowledge in fundamentals of Nursing Life, Behavioral and Natural Medical Sciences, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Health and related legislation.

- Clinical communication, interpersonal leadership, diagnostic and problem solving skills
- Decision making and determining course of action on patient problems
- Ability to differentiate and determine the patients need for medical and other interventions
- Perform administrative functions, such as taking responsibility of budget, planning, ordering supplies, inventory control.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Understands the proper functioning and utilization of equipment pertinent to duties being performed
- Excellent communication skills in oral and written forms
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Organize Health Seminars and Emergency Preparedness
- Very Flexible and Adaptable
