Work Permit Fees: Cayman Islands

Temporary Work Permits – Application Fee (payable upon submission of the application)
Application fee for the grant, renewal or amendment of a temporary work permit, a temporary work permit for a seasonal worker or a temporary work permit for an entertainer	CI$70.00 per application

Dependant fees (payable upon submission of the application)
Dependant fee in the case of a temporary work permit or a temporary work permit for an entertainer	CI$250.00 per dependant regardless of the length of time for which the temporary work permit is valid
Dependant fee in the case of a temporary work permit for a seasonal worker	CI$250.00 per dependant

Temporary Work Permits – Express determination application fee (decision within forty-eight hours of receipt of the application). Payable in addition to the application fee above.

Note: Where an Express application is made for a Temporary Work Permit and a determination of that application is not ready to be communicated within forty-eight hours of receipt of that application, the Express application fee shall be refunded to the applicant if the application is subsequently approved or refused. If the application is refused, the Temporary Work Permit Grant Fee will also be refunded.

Notes:

1. Where a temporary work permit has been issued for less than ninety days, there will be no fee payable for extending it up to ninety days. Where an extension beyond ninety days is sought (i.e. for a further period of up to ninety days), one-half of the annual fee is payable regardless of the length of the extension.
2. Where an occupation for which a work permit or temporary work permit is sought does not appear in Part 2 of the Immigration Regulations (2009 Revision)(as amended), the fee shall be determined by the Chief Immigration Officer but shall not exceed the sum of $24,000.
