Pharmacist-In-Charge (Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas) - Comprehensive Pharmacy

The Pharmacist-In-Charge is the Supervisor on duty and the person responsible for all pharmaceutical activities occurring on the shift. This includes ensuring that all dispensing activities comply with the company’s standard operating procedures, the Bahamas Pharmacy Council, and the Bahamas Pharmacy Act.

To be successful in this role the incumbent must be the consummate Pharmacist, willing to lead by example, demonstrating the virtues of a good Pharmacist. These include accuracy, accountability, dependability, integrity, professionalism, the ability to keep good records, being very organized, possessing excellent communication skills, and an innate desire to help others in all pharmacy-related matters. Must be a leader with the ability to be flexible based on pharmacy operating hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that prescriptions are accurately processed, prepared, labeled, and dispense medication.
  • Manage the shift ensuring that it is adequately staffed, and making adjustments as required. Conduct performance reviews as required. Open and or close the pharmacy as required.
  • Assist as required with cashing. Verify transaction totals and float at the end of the shift.
  • Be an advocate for the customer. Provide individualized patient/provider consultation. Ensure patient interactions are properly documented.
  • Review and maintain inventory records.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals on pharmacy matters. Be a resource to the community by educating and advising on relevant healthcare concerns.
  • Ensure that all pharmacy operational procedures and health and safety protocols are adhered to.
  • When necessary, create SOPs for approval and train employees.
  • Comply with the laws as regulated by The Pharmacy Act and the Bahamas Pharmacy Council.
  • Stay current with pharmacological knowledge.

Remuneration: BSD $45,000.00 per year

Description

A Chief Engineer will manage the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain all hotel operations such that safety, security, conversation, and compliance are ensured at the highest levels.



What will I be doing?

As Chief Engineer, you are responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including energy conservation. You are also responsible for the development of the Engineering Team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as required for hotel standards. Specifically, a Chief Engineer will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules
  • Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas
  • Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property
  • Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations
  • Prepare Capital and Repairs and Maintenance budgets for Engineering
  • Perform daily checks around the hotel
  • Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
  • Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers
  • Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
  • Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs
  • Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses
  •           
  • Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives
  • Manage all Team Member related activities, including recruitment, performance management, training, career planning, disciplinary matters, and team motivation

IPS is hiring! We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in the Grand Bahamas. This is a pharmaceutical company project so pharmaceutical, biotechnology, etc. experience is essential; related experience will be considered. This position has an immediate start.
The Senior Project Scheduler will possess skills and expertise in the following areas: project scope coordination and analysis; project execution plan preparation, coordination, and monitoring, project estimate preparation and coordination, Work package review; project schedule development; critical path analysis; contractor coordination and management; project management assistance; integrated cost and scheduling; total project and annual budget development; financial analysis; cost accounting and forecasting; variance analysis; performance reporting; project change management; risk and contingency planning and root cause analysis; direct supervision of internal resources engaged on project work which would include annual performance management in addition to oversight of external resources to execute project work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor and update project plans and schedules encompassing the entire engineering, procurement, construction and qualification (EPCQ) life cycle.
  • Work in a highly collaborative and dynamic project environment. Facilitate/participate in project scheduling meetings as well as Pull/Takt/Interactive planning sessions as required to develop, refine and progress project plans.
  • Analyze schedule input from project partners including clients, internal teams, vendors and contractors to verify schedule durations and integrity as well as evaluate logic and float paths.  Integrate data into an overall master schedule.
  • Assure credibility of the information in master schedule.  
  • Make recommendations to manage float and (re)sequence activities to achieve project milestone/target dates.
  • Collaborate with estimating and cost control to resource/cost load schedules as required.
  • Collaborate with team to support constructability and value engineering.
  • Evaluate schedule risk and perform analysis (Monte Carlo Simulation, etc.) as required.
  • Baseline schedules and document basis for approval.
  • Monitor schedule progress, deviations, and variances and assess impacts to the critical/near-critical path activities. Assist in the developing alternatives for corrective action.
  • Perform jobsite walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities and analyze change orders for schedule impacts. 
  • Continually progress and review schedules with project team to ensure accurate and timely data is incorporated and forecasted.
  • Ability to generate earned value, SPI, CPI, and other schedule metrics.
  • Prepare schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis.  Maintain record of scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.  Emphasis on data visualization and effective team communication.
  • At the project completion, develop and record the project’s historical schedule information and “lessons learned” for future use.
  • Collaborate with all groups to improve company processes, systems and intellectual infrastructure to promote organizational learning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, construction management or applicable experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a planner/scheduler on facilities capital projects. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction and qualification (EPCQ) processes is required. 
  • Experience in the pharma/biotech industry is desirable.
  • Understanding of engineering and construction methodologies and technical documentation. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of modern planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, techniques and tools including CPM, Last Planner, 4D, etc.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 Planner, Microsoft Project and Office Suite programs is required. Knowledge of vPlan, BIM 360 and other visual and collaborative planning tools is desirable.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and organizational skills are required with the ability to prioritize and manage large amounts of information to effectively meet deadlines. 
  • PMI or AACEI certification is a plus.
  • Temporary relocation to the Grand Bahamas for nine months or longer is required.

Security Guard (Nassau, Bahamas) - PAE

  The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.
Responsible for performing Security Guard functions at AUTEC in support of a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and government assets for the AUTEC Projects. Responsibilities: • Provides and controls vehicle and pedestrian access to the facilities and insures compliance with visitor regulations. • Inspects and controls access of materials into facilities. • Makes security checks of assigned facilities and areas. • Completes compliance and safety inspections in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Maintains logs. • Detects security incidents and reports them to Navy Security Forces for investigation and action. • Must follow all security rules and regulations. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High school graduate or equivalent. • 1 year related experience working in Customer Service or a Security environment. • Pass a physical examination given by a licensed physician or health care professional. • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office. • Distant Visual acuity in each eye shall be corrected to 20/30 (Snellen to equivalent) in better eye and 20/40 in the other eye with eyeglasses or contact lenses or contact lenses. If uncorrected, if distant vision is not at least 20/40 in the better eye, the individual shall carry an extra pair of corrective lenses. Near visual acuity, corrected or uncorrected, shall be at least 20/40 in the better. • Ability to distinguish red, green and yellow colors. • Individuals shall have no hearing loss in better ear greater than 30 decibels average at 500hz, 1,00hz and 2,000hz with no level greater than 40 decibels at any one frequency. • Must meet minimum physical standards which include the ability to perform normal or emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing/walking/driving/jumping for extended periods of time. • Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders. • Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds of material or equipment. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required. • Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities. • A valid US Passport and Driver’s License is required.
