Maintenance Staff (St. James, Jamaica) - Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts

Maintenance Technician:

Role Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting HVAC systems, changing filters, and checking building systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and colleagues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and building systems, including electrical and plumbing fixtures.
  • Ensure all maintenance operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and inventory of supplies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A/C Technician:

Role Overview: The A/C Technician specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems within the resort's facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install new air conditioning systems and ensure they are properly functioning.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning A/C units, including ductwork and controls.
  • Handle refrigerants according to EPA regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an A/C Technician or HVAC Technician.
  • Certification or training in HVAC systems and refrigeration.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC principles and components.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Painter:

Role Overview: The Painter is responsible for preparing and painting surfaces within the resort's buildings to enhance aesthetics and maintain a clean, attractive appearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades and textures.
  • Apply paint and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and ensure proper storage.
  • Follow safety guidelines and environmental regulations when handling paints and solvents.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Painter or similar role.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
Carpenter:

Role Overview: The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials within the resort's facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans to determine project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall materials.
  • Assemble and install structures and fixtures such as cabinets, doors, and windows.
  • Repair or replace damaged framework or other wooden structures.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Plumber:

Role Overview: The Plumber ensures the proper functioning of plumbing systems throughout the resort, including installation, maintenance, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures, including pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, and sinks.
  • Diagnose plumbing issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Respond to plumbing emergencies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Keep accurate records of plumbing maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Plumber or similar role.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems and components.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Management Positions (St. Ann, Jamaica) - Decameron Club Caribbean Runaway Bay



Decameron Club Caribbean Runaway Bay, Ramada All-Inclusive Resort is seeking qualified and/or experienced candidates to fill the following vacancies: Guest Service Manager and Health and Safety Officer

Guest Service Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all Front Office Standards Operating policies and procedures are adhered
  • Ensure procedures are being met or exceeded on a daily basis for all Guests
  • Coordinate the arrival, stay and departure experience to ensure a seamless experience
  • Liaise with all key departments to gather the correct information
  • Communicate relevant information and special requirements to all departments to ensure the expectations of all guests are exceeded
  • Work directly with the Front Office operation to ensure a seamless experience
  • Contact guests during their stay and assist with any needs that arise
  • Assume Manager on Duty shifts when needed
  • Reply to all guest comments that are posted online on TripAdvisor, Expedia, etc.
  • Participate actively in the investigation of guest accidents and issues, and timely report to HR when issues are related to employees.
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees and HODs.
  • Maintain a high visibility in public areas during peak times, providing immediate assistance to guests as requested.

Health and Safety Officer

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Planning of health and safety program and protocols
  • Teaching supervisors, managers and other leaders in the company about health and safety standards
  • Presenting safety training sessions to the company
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal and state regulations
  • Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues
  • Verifying that employees consistently follow safety protocols
  • Analyzing health and safety data
  • Reviewing and recommending changes to regular activities
  • Must be able to work in the field as the job position is not office based.
  • Must be flexible and not place on a constrain work time as the hotel has different shifts to be covered.
  • Must be someone that pays keen attention to tiny details
  • Good leadership qualities are necessary to succeed in this position
  • Possession of excellent communication skills

Kitchen Vacancies

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in adherence to the hotel's culinary standards. Your role involves collaborating with kitchen staff, ensuring food safety, and contributing to a positive dining experience for hotel guests.

Key Duties:

  • Cook 1:
    • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to standardized recipes and ensuring high-quality presentation.
    • Ensure food quality and presentation meet the expectations of our guests
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workstation
  • Cook 2:
    • Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking activities.
    • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
    • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

  • Cook 3:
    • Support the kitchen team in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and portioning ingredients.
    • Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils in good working condition.
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Canteen Supervisor:
    • Oversee daily operations of the canteen, including food production, service, and cleanliness.

  • Steward:

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required for Cook 3 and Steward positions.

Hotel Bartender (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts


Location: Montego Bay, Jamaica

 As a Hotel Bartender, you are an integral part of our hospitality team, responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests in our hotel bar. Your role involves crafting a variety of beverages, providing personalized recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
  • Welcome hotel guests and patrons in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Take drink orders, provide recommendations, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Engage with guests to enhance their overall experience.
Beverage Preparation:
  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards.
  • Create visually appealing cocktails with precision and consistency.
  • Ensure the quality of drinks by using fresh ingredients and following recipes.
Product Knowledge:
  • Familiarize yourself with the hotel's drink menu, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Stay informed about current beverage trends and share this knowledge with guests when appropriate.
  • Bar Presentation and Maintenance:
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including bar tools, glassware, and condiments.

Qualifications:
