Job Summary:

The Tryall Club is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Loss Prevention and Safety Manager to lead its security, safety, and loss prevention operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the physical safety of all Members, Guests, Employees, and property assets. This includes oversight of security services, fire safety systems, accident and crime prevention measures, contractor and vendor compliance, and disaster preparedness programs.

The role demands a proactive leader with extensive experience in emergency response, safety audits, incident investigations, and risk management. The incumbent will also be expected to coordinate and conduct regular drills, training sessions, and inspections to maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the property.

The Thai Chef is responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of authentic Thai dishes that meet the high culinary standards of The Tryall Club (Montego Bay, St. James). This will be a 6 months fixed term contract.

Job Summary
The Thai Chef is responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of authentic Thai dishes that meet the high culinary standards of The Tryall Club. This role requires expert knowledge of traditional Thai ingredients, cooking techniques, and plating. The ideal candidate will also assist with private dining, special events, and collaborate closely with the culinary team to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Thai section, ensuring consistency and high quality
  • Prepare and present authentic Thai dishes using traditional techniques and ingredients
  • Develop and maintain Thai menus for regular service and special event
  • Monitor inventory and ensure the freshness and quality of all Thai-specific ingredients
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
  • Train and motivate kitchen staff in Thai culinary techniques
  • Work collaboratively with other chefs and departments during peak service periods and events

Plumber (St. James, Jamaica) - The Tryall Club


The Tryall Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems to ensure efficient water distribution and waste management.

Under general supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator, responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment and facilities used for water distribution and waste water disposal throughout the property.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certificate in Plumbing Technology from HEART/NTA or equivalent qualification.
  • One to three years of maintenance experience within the specialized trade area
  • High School Education
  • Certification from a HEART or National Training Institute

Knowledge of:
  • Principles, procedures, skills, tools and materials used in specialized trade areas.
  • Uses and purposes of general maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Applicable codes, rules and regulations pertaining to trade areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that specified plumbing equipment, fixtures and facilities are serviced in compliance with the maintenance schedule.
  • Conducts periodic maintenance checks at Sewage Treatment Plant, manholes, grease traps and septic pits.
  • Accepts fault report and requests from customers and submits to the Dispatch Clerk.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning fixtures and appliances such as sinks, tubs, toilets and water heaters.
  • Replaces faulty plumbing components of machines.
  • Performs driving duties when requested and ensures that assigned vehicle is used safely and strictly within the guidelines set out by the Club.
  • Monitors records and implements water conservation opportunities throughout the Club.
  • Inspects jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
  • Liaises with the Supervisor and updates them on the progress of repair and maintenance work.
  • Ensures that safety regulations and guidelines are adhered to.

Maintenance Service Technician (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - Margaritaville Caribbean Group


 
The maintenance technician effects minor repairs, fixes, and maintains mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring and walls repair and upkeep, electrical repairs, and heating and air conditioning system maintenance


FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance issues.
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting those in their scope and advising the general manager of major contractual requirements.
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or technical diploma in HVAC or refrigeration technology. or Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
  • Experience with energy-efficient refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with various commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems (e.g., walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, rooftop units).
  • Bilingual is Preferred

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
