Night Auditor (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - The Tryall Club


 SUMMARY

The Night Auditor is responsible for the accounting of all daily sales activity and reporting of this data in accordance with the company’s Policies and Procedures.

The incoming Night Auditor will be expected to work a regular shift of 11 pm – 7 am once assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Understanding of hotel’s night audit procedures.

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of pastry production, ensuring the highest quality in preparation, presentation, and flavor. Key Responsibilities:

Pastry Production Management:

Room Attendant (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - Secrets/Breathless Resorts & Spa

 

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Director of Housekeeping, Housekeeping Manager and all rooms Managers in the successful ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department. Responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Team Leader in providing genuine care and comfort to the ladies and gentlemen of the respective departments and maintaining a sense of urgency in handling all related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • Housekeeping Experience in preferably in a 4 Star property
  • Minimum 18 years of age to work 40 hours a week
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, staff, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Knowledge of effective organizational practices
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Desirable:

  • Set correct time on clock; correct TV channel.
  • Clean lamps and light switches; check for proper working order.
  • Remove dust, spots and smears from phone, and reposition properly.
  • Empty liquid from ice bucket and wipe all surfaces dry.
  • Remove dust, smudges, and spills from coffee station ensure it is plugged in and securely closed.
  • Remove dust on drapes weekly and realign to correct position daily.
  • Inspect condition of amenities on desk, drawers and guest service directory; replace as needed.

  • Inspect condition of Secret box, remove items if necessary.
  • Return all lost and found items to loss prevention immediately.
  • Remove dust, dirt, marks and fingerprints from entrance door.

  • At end of the shift, return cart and clean U B rooms.
  • Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum.
  • Ensure security of any assigned keys.
  • To take complete ownership and accountability of a daily planning and preparation phase.
  • To take an ownership, “stewardship” position within the department and hotel to ensure operational excellence.
  • To know, comply with, and enforce all hotel and departmental standards, policies, and procedures.
  • To assist in the writing of additional standards, policies, and procedures for the department.
  • Promote and support effective departmental and hotel communication through the use of phones, voice-mail, radios, written correspondence and verbal communication. To respond to all calls and messages promptly.

REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a graduate with a level 1 or 2 vocational course in Air Conditioning or Electrical.
  • Must have at least 1-2 years experience in HVAC, Kitchen and Laundry equiptment.

    • Take guests' food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
    • Record order of guest following departmental service procedures.
    • Input order into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by kitchen.
    • Legibly document orders when system is down and distribute food orders to kitchen.
    • Retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from bar and serve to guest in accordance with the departmental standards.
    • Open and serve wine/champagne bottles in accordance with departmental standards.
    • Make all varieties of coffee in accordance with the departmental standards.
    • Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with departmental standards.
    • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
    • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
    • Guide the activities of the assigned Busperson to ensure optimum service to guests.
    • Clear each course following procedures laid down in departmental manual.
    • Remove soiled wares from tables as assigned and transport to dishwashing area.
    • Present guest checks and process payments through the Cashier.
    • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
    • Clean and reset tables immediately after guest departs.
    • Collect and report tips at the end of the assigned shift.
    • Complete closing side duties:
      • Properly store all reusable goods.
      • Breakdown all goods as specified in departmental standards.
      • Clean all equipment as assigned in the side duties.
      • Restock items for next service
      • Remove all dirty linen.
      • Marry and stock all condiments.
      • Reset tables for next meal period.
      • Complete all closing reports as assigned and leave duty after reporting to supervisor.

The incumbent will have responsibility for the day to day linen operations. Qualifications and Requirements:
  • At least four (4) years hands-on experience in the delivery of meticulous laundry operation.
  • Certified in Laundry maintenance or Housekeeping.
  • Experience working in a five (5) star or five (5) diamond properties.
  • Knowledge of hospitality practices and procedures for excellent service.
  • Ability to work well and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Ability to operate industry grade washing machines and laundry equipment.
  • Knowledge of how to; wash, steam, and mend clothing/linen based on fabric and item design.
  • Knowledge of how to iron both clothes and linen based on fabric and item design.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

  • Sort and catalog items efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of stain removal and fabric care.
