The Tryall Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems to ensure efficient water distribution and waste management.
Plumber
Under general supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator, responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment and facilities used for water distribution and waste water disposal throughout the property.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate in Plumbing Technology from HEART/NTA or equivalent qualification.
- One to three years of maintenance experience within the specialized trade area
- High School Education
- Certification from a HEART or National Training Institute

- Principles, procedures, skills, tools and materials used in specialized trade areas.
- Uses and purposes of general maintenance tools and equipment.
- Applicable codes, rules and regulations pertaining to trade areas.
- Safe work practices.
- Basic first aid.
- Assemble, install, maintain and pressure test all pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinklers and gas systems according to plumbing codes, schematic diagrams, blue prints, manuals and other specifications.
- Ensures that specified plumbing equipment, fixtures and facilities are serviced in compliance with the maintenance schedule.
- Conducts periodic maintenance checks at Sewage Treatment Plant, manholes, grease traps and septic pits.
- Accepts fault report and requests from customers and submits to the Dispatch Clerk.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning fixtures and appliances such as sinks, tubs, toilets and water heaters.
- Replaces faulty plumbing components of machines.
- Performs driving duties when requested and ensures that assigned vehicle is used safely and strictly within the guidelines set out by the Club.
- Monitors records and implements water conservation opportunities throughout the Club.
- Inspects jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
- Liaises with the Supervisor and updates them on the progress of repair and maintenance work.
- Ensures that safety regulations and guidelines are adhered to.
