Inventory Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica) - Real Power Diesel Parts & Services Ltd.

Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including all aspects related to parts receiving and delivery, unloading and loading of goods in warehouse, ensuring the warehouse is always clean.

Preferred skills:

  • Parts identification

Mandatory

  • Police report (once approved)

Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Receives parts deliveries
  • Schedules all inbound deliveries
  • Keep records, check the quantity and quality of items received 
  • Inspect and accept inbound deliveries
  • Accurate physical receiving of items in order to maintain the integrity of inventory
  • Communicate and coordinates with appropriate suppliers for products returns
  • Warranty reports sent to suppliers
  • Properly input items received into computer system and forward proper documentations
  • Assists in keeping inventory department and warehouse clean and orderly
  • Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
Desired Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Stand, walk a minimum of 7 hours a day
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Pack off goods and upload to warehouse
  • Identify damaged, loss or surplus goods and materials stored in warehouse
  • Stock merchandise on rack and shelf items to the warehouse 
  • Preferred male applicants
  • Forklift license preferred

Inventory Control Officer (Kingston, Jamaica) - Active Home Centre

Active Home Centre is seeking applications from suitable, qualified persons to fill the position of INVENTORY CONTROL OFFICER.
Under the supervision of the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that items are available when they are needed to satisfy the organization's business needs, by maintaining an optimal inventory of goods and th e accurate and timely updating of records to reflect efficient stock levels.

He/she will also be required to:
  • Implement systems and processes that will ensure inventory accuracy is maintained to support the business
  • Investigate and report all variances and discrepancies within the warehouse
  • Plan, organize and lead annual and cycle counts as required
  • Manage the inventory transfers processes between locations
  • Analyse inventory movement to identify slow moving and obsolete stock

Qualifications/requirements:
  • AAT/CAT Level II or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in stock controls and inventory practices and processes in a retail industry

Summary of Position:
 Accounting Officer:
  • Maintenance of accounting records and financial management reporting
Inventory Officer
  • Responsible for the inventory management of all items (raw materials, work in progress, finished goods) within the centralized production facility and retail outlets
  • Enforce internal control procedures
  • Conduct weekly inventory counts at centralised production facility and retail outlet(s)
  • Prepare inventory reports for management meetings and include valuation in financial statements


Qualifications:

Store-Person/Maintenance Planner (Manchester, Jamaica)


A leading quarry located in the parish of Manchester is seeking the services of a Store-Person/Maintenance Planner for their operations.


The incumbent will be responsible for manging:
  • Stores inventory
  • Procurement of all consumables and necessary maintenance components. Liaison with suppliers both locally and overseas, and freight forwarders to enable close tracking of purchased items is critical to the role

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Sound knowledge of government inventory management guidelines
  • Must be computer literate

Security Supervisor

Core Duties:
  • Prepares assignment roster for Security Guards at all locations on a weekly basis
  • Carries out spot checks on all premises to ensure that all Guards are at their posts
  • Prepares reports on incidents for submission to the Assistant Director-Administration
  • Checks Log Book regularly to ensure entries are made in accordance with established policy
  • Checks bags of staff members entering and leaving the premises
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Five (5) subject passes at CXC/CSEC or GCE O' level inclsuive of English Language and Mathematics
  • Two (2) years experience as a Security Guard/Supervisor
  • Must be computer literate
