The Human Resource Division of the
Jamaica Constabulary Force welcomes applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position:
DATA ENTRY CLERK (MIS/IT 2)
TWO (2) POSITIONS - ONE (1) IN HANOVER AND ONE (1) IN TRELAWNY
Salary Range: $852,707 - $1,013,600 per annum.
Job Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for inputting data into relevant database as well as transcribing routine pre-coded information, verify data for accuracy and completeness in accordance with prescribed standards of speed and accuracy as detailed below:
- Examine traffic tickets and input data in the Traffic Ticketing System (T.T.I.S.);
- Scan and save traffic ticket images;
- Report malfunctioning equipment or any other constraints which might prevent the timely completion of assignments
- Identify and correct errors which become evident in the data entry process
- Sort and prepare traffic tickets in order for court dates;
- List outstanding tickets for payment at the Court Offices from Intec (previous traffic ticketing solution;
- Update tickets paid at the Collectorates that exist as outstanding in the Intec database;
- Prepare driving records requested by individuals or companies;
- Respond to queries from members of the public as necessary;
- Record information for tickets that cannot be entered on the Traffic Ticketing Issuing System (T.T.I.S.)

Minimum Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) CXC/GCE subjects including English Language
- Computer literate
- Typing speed of 60 words per minute
