The Laundry Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing mechanical and service support to the resort’s Laundry & Housekeeping Division. The successful candidate will work closely with Rooms Technicians to provide problem solving and preventative maintenance for all aspects of the Laundry Department.
Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:
- Assisting in training operators of laundry equipment regarding usage, cleaning and operating precautions to prevent injury to staff and damage to equipment.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to laundry equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule.
- Maintaining complete records of associated equipment and machinery, including, but not limited to, installation, warranty, spare parts and service history.
- Monitoring of the use of machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
- Installing new equipment or components.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma.
- Certificate from recognised Tertiary and/or Vocational Training Institution.
- Skill level and/or Technical Competence equivalent to at least Level III HEART Trust NTA certification.
- Ability to satisfy Sandals Engineering Technical Competencies
