Chain of command:

Summary:

The Storeroom assistant is responsible for all goods and services related to the company stored within the Storeroom. You are entrusted with the responsibility of receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and equipment for the day-to-day villa operations under the direct supervision of the Storeroom Manager. The cleanliness and proper order of the Storeroom is paramount in being successful in this position. You must take initiative and be able to identify and complete tasks on your own without prompt. The success of each villa and the services offered, especially via food and beverage, depends highly on you and how seriously you take this job and the delivery of your services. This is a high stress and physically demanding position and as such you must be able to always manage stress and intense labor professionally, as these situations present themselves.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor par levels for all food items to ensure proper levels at ALL times
  • Ensure storage of both food and beverage and operational stock as guided by MoH standards
  • Day to day checks of the Storeroom for proper hygiene and full compliance is mandatory
  • Assist with supplier delivery and ensure that all goods supplied are as per agreed order/purchase and all matches the delivery note
  • Be able to identify and refuse faulty and substandard goods
  • Accurately weigh out food items for villas
  • Assemble drinks/ food items for villas in the morning and afternoon
  • Help move newly delivered items around storeroom
  • Properly dispose of used liquor bottles
*Additional responsibilities and duties as required by the business and leadership team.

  • Chefs-Must be versatile in cooking ALL MEALS (International and Gourmet Cuisine). A sound knowledge of Pastry Making would be an asset.
  • At least five (5) years hands-on experience in the delivery of meticulous guest service.
  • Experience managing five (5) or more persons.
  • The willingness and be ability to sleep over (nights) at the villa.
  • A valid Food Handlers Permit.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Very flexible with time.

The positions listed above will report directly to the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works in the designated station as set by Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef
  • Able to prepare food within recommended time frames to meet in flight client expectations
  • Prepare all menu items by strictly following recipes and yield guide
  • Checks supplies and prep lists and ensures all items are prepped in a timely fashion

Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Professional certification 
  • Have experience in the field
Skills and Other Attributes Required:
  • Ability to function under pressure
  • Strong sense of loyalty, integrity and punctuality
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements as laid down by law
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
