BILLING AGENT

The successful applicant will be responsible for updating accounting records with issued invoices, new payments and customer information. He/she will also assist the finance department with the preparation of financial reports.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:
  • Creating and issuing invoices.
  • Processing credit memos.
  • Preparing account statements.
  • Following up on outstanding payments and answering billing queries.
  • Monitoring all payments and preparing monthly billing reports.
  • Managing account balances and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Assisting the accounting department with the preparation of financial reports.
  • Updating accounting records with issued invoices, processed payments, new balances, and customer contact information.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or qualification/certification in any other related discipline
  • Previous experience as a billing clerk or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as Quickbooks
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards and relevant legal regulations
  • Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Compile reports / summaries and activity areas and provide accounting and clerical support to Accountant.
