Bursar (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - Cumberland High School

The Board of Management of Cumberland High School invites applicants to fill the post of Bursar (EIGS/AS5)

Job Summary:

The successful applicant will be required to implement and maintain government of Jamaica financial and procurement policies and guidelines; supervise the administrative and ancillary staff; assume responsibility for the financial controls and procedures of the school; and provide financial information to support decision making by the Ministry of Education, and the School's Board of Management.

Requirements:
Specific Knowledge required

• Thorough knowledge of FAA Act and GOJ procurement policy guidelines
• Strong grasp of accounting and word processing software applications

Qualifications and Experience:

B.Sc. in Accounting and Management with two (2) years work experience or

ACCA level 2, with two (2) years of experience, or 

ACCA level 2, with three (3) years of experience

Competencies and Specialized Techniques

• Good problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong supervisory skills
• A valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle
