Adminis. Assistant & Human Resource Officer (Jamaica - Travel required) - R & D Holdings Limited

R and D Commercial Holdings Limited is seekingapplications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Administrative Assistant and Human Resource Officer.
The successful candidate will be required to exercise direct accountability and responsibility for the achievement of the duties assigned.

Core Functions:
Under the direction of the Group CEO, the successful canddiate will be required to:
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide guidance and interpretation on the poolicies and procedures 
  • Prepare and update job descriptions
  • Assist with the development , coordination, and delivery and evaluate training and development programmes
  • Participate in the implementation of an effective Reward and Recognition Programme
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Programme
  • Assist with the recruitment, Selection and Placement of employees
  • Assist with aqdministration of the Grievance Process
  • Assist with the administration and improve the Performance Management System
  • Assist with the administration benefits and welfare programme
  • Assists the Group CEO with administrative matters and follow-up 
  • Complete performance reports on companies
  • Maintain the balance scorecard and appraisal process

Qualifications:

Required Qualification, Experience and Key Competencies
The successful candidate should have:
  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Exposure to administrative assitant job functions
  • A minimum of three (3) years continuous experience in a simialr capacity in a medium or large organization
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resource Management systems
  • Knowledge of Jamaica Labour Laws and relevant legislation
  • Excellent knowledge of human resource planning and administration
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional and understandable manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, facilitation, negotiation and team building
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good negotiation and counselling skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A reliable motor vehicle and the ability to travel islandwide
