Customer Service Reps, Admin Clerk (Kingston, Jamaica)

Insurance broker seeks suitable individual for the following positions:

Two (2) Customer Service Reps/Underwriters
One (1) Permanent and one (1) Temporary for approximately 4 months 
- Kingston
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the daily operations of the branch and customer service activities in compliance with established policies and procedures. The candidate should possess the following:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Five (5) CXC/CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English
  • Certification in motor vehicle and property insurance
  • Certificate /diploma in insurance would be an asset
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar capacity
  • Must be suitable to be licensed as a Sales Representative
Skills:
  • Sound knowledge of insurance priciples and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good time management 
  • Highly motivated and results oriented
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and multi-task
  • Ability to deal with the public courteously, effectively, respectfully 
  • Understands that the customer is our business
Required competence:
  • Competence in keyboard dexterity; computer applications and spreadsheets
  • Ability to direct completion of activities within established dfeadlines
  • Good judgement and decision making abilities


Admin Clerk
Temporary - 4 months
Kingston

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Five (5) CXC/CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English
  • Associate degree/diploma/professional qualifications in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience 
Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure efficiently 
  • Ability to work at maximum effort
  • Ability to meet output standards/quality standards
  • Ability to accept responsibility and discretion
  • Willing to work beyond usual hours, if necessary
  • Able to get the job done/to get results
  • Understands how to work smarter
Required Competencies:
  • Competence in keyboard dexterity; computer applications and spreadsheets
  • Ability to direct completion of activities within established deadlines
  • Good judgement and decision making abilities
  • Cost benefit assessment as a basis for capital/recurrent expenditure
