Under the direct supervision of the Security Manager, the In-house Security Officer must oversee all areas of the hotel property, inside and out, from the parking lot to banquet halls and private guest rooms.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Keep track of all the cameras installed in the hotel premises and report if there is any suspicion.
- Monitor the alarms and make arrangement for evacuation in case of emergency.
- Maintain security station with a proper information database and stay connected with the security room so that quick actions can be taken at times of emergency.
- The security officer should keep a constant check on the other security personals and see whether they are performing their responsibilities up to the standards and take corrective actions if anyone is found at fault.
- Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Powers of arrest training
- CPR/first aid trained
- Trained in report writing, etc.
- At least four (4) CXC passes
