We are seeking highly professional individuals to fill enlisted vacancies for the Montego Bay Hotel (Royal Decameron Montego Bay Beach).

Kitchen Vacancies


As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in adherence to the hotel's culinary standards. Your role involves collaborating with kitchen staff, ensuring food safety, and contributing to a positive dining experience for hotel guests.

Key Duties:

1. Food Preparation:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to standardized recipes and ensuring high-quality presentation.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and fresh ingredients.
2. Kitchen Coordination:
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, timely food production, and efficient use of resources.

3. Food Safety and Hygiene:
  • Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safe storage and handling.

1. Customer Interaction:

  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to accommodate special requests and dietary needs from hotel guests.
2. Adaptability:
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to changes in menu, kitchen procedures, and guest preferences.
3. Teamwork:
  • Work cohesively with kitchen and dining room staff to deliver a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for hotel guests.
4. Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Participate in routine cleaning tasks, equipment maintenance, and overall kitchen sanitation.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a kitchen.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary trends.
  • Time management skills to ensure timely food production.
