Legal Clerical Assistant (Kingston, Jamaica)

A legal clerical assistant is needed for a small legal office in Kingston.
Job Description:
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondences, ensuring high standard of presentation and accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintaining Counsel's diary and appointments as required
  • conducting timely follow-up with clients
  • Stamping and recording all correspondence received on a timely basis
  • Receiving, sorting and distributing incoming mail efficiently 
  • Establishing and maintaining an accurate filing and record management system
  • Efficiently handling the telephone for both incoming and outgoing calls
  • Recording and disseminating messages efficiently
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Maintaining office area in a neat and orderly manner
What you must have:
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Certification in Secretarial Studies/Management Studies/Business Administration
  • At least two (2) years experience working in a secretarial capacity
  • Experience/knowledge of legal and real estate documentation would be a definite PLUS

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Effective time management skills

  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Strong communication skills
