Job Description

CLERICAL OFFICER I (CAYMAN BRAC)

We seek an individual who will serve as a member of the administrative team within the department, responsible for the daily collection/receipting of all revenue to the provisions of the Public Management and Finance Act as well as other Government regulations.

The post holder will provide a range of clerical and other support services to facilitate the efficient and effective delivery of services to meet the needs of the farming community and the General Public in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • The post holder should be a high school graduate with a minimum of 3 O-level passes or equivalent (e.g. CXC) which should include English and Mathematics and must have at least 1-year frontline / receptionist experience.
  • Experience with Counter Point, Point of Sale and Inventory Management software would be an asset
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Time management skills are essential

 Recycling Partners of Jamaica is seeking a capable professional to fill the position of Logistics Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with transportation companies to create a good working relationship
  • Develop efficient collection schedules and routes for the collection of plastics and drop off points
  • Manage the drivers and related contract services
  • Help in recruiting competent and hardworking drivers and/or contractors and ensure that they are discharging their duties
  • Create a safe working environment for the drivers by putting in place safety measures. Dispense safety and PPE gear to employees and ensure regular toolbox meetings for drivers
  • Ensure that the financial documentation and invoicing processes at each stage is followed assiduously as part of record keeping measures
  • Periodically inspect collected plastics  to ensure they are in the right quantity and quality 
  • Give clear directions and guidelines to shipping agents about nature of goods and delivery locations and maintain communication to ensure timely delivery
  • Any other duties that may be deemed necessary
Skills & Requirements:
  • B.Sc. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Post graduate qualifications will be considered an asset
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar logistics role
  • Experience in project management (certification is an asset)
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
  • Strong client-facing and team work skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner
  • Excellent human relations skills to be able to work effectively with all members of the logistics team, getting them to perform optimally
  • Good communication and multitasking skills to understand the details of collection processing and shipping and to be able to coordinate a multi sectoral team to carry out these functions seamlessly
