Tastee seeks to identify suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Restaurant Managers and Cooks.
Restaurant Managers
The Preferred candidate should be able to demonstrate superior customer service, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to lead a dynamic team.
Key Responisbilities:
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Supervise staff and oversee the company's assets
- Maintain great customer service by ensuring customer expectataions are exceeded
- Implement and maintain inventory controls to maximize profits and minimixe loss
- Institute efficient and effective forecasting strategies to maximize daily restaurant operations
Qualifications and Competence Requirements:
- Have at least a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management/Hospitality or Tourism Management or other related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Advanced knowledge of Food Safety practices and procedures
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Basic knowledge of Jamaica's Labour Laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to work outside of regular working hours
Cooks
The ideal candidate should be passionate, hardworking and have a love for food and great customer service.
Key Responsiblities:
- Responsible for ensuring that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are mainteained within your work space
- Prepare meals for our customers as per recipe and Company's standards
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes
- Steam, grill, boil or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients, and arrange and garnish dishes
- Check food and ingredients for freshness and maintain as per standards
- Ensure that the Company's receipes and techniques in food preparation and presentataion are preserved
- Organize work area, prepare food and cooking, and label all food items according to Food Safety Standards
Qualifications and Competence Requirements:
- Have at least level 3 certification in Commercial Food Preparation from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience preferably in a fast food environment
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to use industrial kitchen equipment
