A well established manufacturing and distribution company located in
Spanish Town requires the services of a suitably qualified, knowledgeable and highly motivated individual to fill the post of
ACCOUNTANT.
Report to:
Finance Manager
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary level education, preferably a degree in Accounting or related area
- Level 2 ACCA or equivalent
- Three (3) years experience at the Accountant or equivalent level
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software
Required Skills

- Ability to multitask while being excellent at time management
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a small team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The range of duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and liaising with bank officers from time to time
- Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts
- Costing of all imported supplies and updating all related accounts on a timely basis
- Preparation of all tax returns ensuring that filing and payment are done within the stipulated periods
- Assisting in preparation of monthly financial statements
- Assisting in preparation of periodic cash flow statements and annual budgets
- Liaising with auditors in planning and execution of annual audit
- Assisting with the supervision of junior staff in the department
