The post-holder will manage a national business registry, collect and keep records and data sets for the system of national accounts, and provide codes for the business survey processing.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Post holder should have a minimum of four O’Levels including English and Mathematics.
  • Two years of prior experience in data collection or database management or database infrastructure maintenance is required.
  • A working knowledge of computer programs is also required, preferably with working knowledge of a statistical software. 
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision, including on the application of the international SNA manual and international industrial classification systems such as the International Standard Industrial Classification of all Economics Activities (ISIC).

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls including accounts payables and receivables, fixed assets, and inventory 
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in accounting in a similar capacity
  • Experience in the retail industry would be an asset
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented, results-driven, confident and forward thinking individual
  • Strong work ethic, organized, excellent leadership abilities combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
