Bursar (Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica) - Spanish Town High School

The Board of Management invites applications for the post of: Bursar (AS 5).
Job Sumary:

The successful applicant will be required to implement and maintain government of Jamaica financial and procurement policies and guidelines, supervise the administrative and ancillary staff; assume responsibility for the financial controls and procedures of the school, and provide financial information to support decision making the Ministry of Education, and the School's Board of Management.

Requirements:
a. Specific Knowledge required:
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA  Act and GOJ procurement policy guidelines
  • Strong grasp of accounting and word processing  software applications
b. Qualifications and Experience:
  • BSc in Accounting and Management with two (2) years work experience or
  • ACCA level 2, with two (2) years of experience, or
  • ACCA level 1, with three (3) years of experience


c. Competencies and Specialized Techniques
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable motor vehicle
