BILLING AGENT

The successful applicant will be responsible for updating accounting records with issued invoices, new payments and customer information. He/she will also assist the finance department with the preparation of financial reports.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:
  • Creating and issuing invoices.
  • Processing credit memos.
  • Preparing account statements.
  • Following up on outstanding payments and answering billing queries.
  • Monitoring all payments and preparing monthly billing reports.
  • Managing account balances and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Assisting the accounting department with the preparation of financial reports.
  • Updating accounting records with issued invoices, processed payments, new balances, and customer contact information.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or qualification/certification in any other related discipline

  • Implementing fertilizing and pesticide programs with sound agronomics practices.
  • Preparing all budget provisions for the team.
  • Sound Irrigation management and insect fumigation technique.
  • Professional enough to display or provide exceptional guest service standard training for the grounds personnel to provide efficient and quality service to our guests and fellow employees.
  • Will be able to complete guest room repairs as needed.
  • Work closely with other heads to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains all maintenance records for the landscaping department.
  • Should be environmentally sound in terms of protecting the ecosystem using eco-friendly chemicals for pest control.
  • Will coordinate the process for annual maintenance purchasing of tools and equipment.
  • Will obtain price quotations for plants and tools.
  • Will be able to assist in the receiving process of all plants and tools for the grounds team.
  • Basic English language communication skills to fully comprehend the job assignment read and understand manufacturers, instructions to adhere to safety warning.

  • Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.Sc. in hospitality management or related field (Special emphasis on Housekeeping) or NCTVET Certification in Housekeeping or Hospitality Management
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as Housekeeping Supervisor with Working experience in the Hospitality industry
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and Supervisory skills
  • Have excellent communication skills in oral and written forms
  • Is dedicated to maintaining impeccable levels of service
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Be highly competent in MS Office Suite

  • To monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production and supply.

  • To have total accountability for the day to day running of the kitchen service.

  • Stock takes are produced monthly in conjunction with the head chef and carried out in his absence.
  • Stock rotation and use by dates for the production of food are followed and food is produced so as not to contribute to wastage.
  • All menus are costed accurately

Experience & Qualifications needed:
  •  Minimum five (5) years experience in a similar capacity
  • Relevant culinary qualifications
  • Overseas experience will be an asset 
  • Previous experience with cost control, food & labour costs, demonstration cooking, menu development of culinary team
  • Ability to speak a second language is a distinct advantage
  • Must be eligible to work in Jamaica
  • Extensive and sound knowledge of Western and Eastern dishes
