Legal Clerical Assistant (Kingston, Jamaica)

Legal Clerical Assistant is needed for a small legal office in Kingston.

Ideal candidate should possess a range of knowledge of the legal environment, general workings of the courthouse, various registries and other relevant governmental agencies.

Primary Duties:
  • Providing support for attorneys and general operations of the firm
  • Handling all administrative matters for the Office
  • Drafting/preparing legal documents
  • Maintaining Counsel's diary and schedules appointments as required
  • Attendance at Court/Government offices for filing of documents
What must you have?
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies/Management Studies/Business Administration
  • Paralegal certification would be an asset
  • At least two (2) years experience working in a secretarial capacity
  • Experience/knowledge of real estate business would be a definite PLUS


Critical Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Critical thinking
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Strong oral and written skills
