Accounting Officer (Kingston, Jamaica) - Heart Foundation of Jamaica

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Finance Manager, the Accounting Officer, will be responsible for the accuracy, quality, integrity and timelines of all accounting and financial information, including budget preparation and cash flow management.

Education and Experience:

• Must have attained at least level 2 ACCA
• At least three (3) years working experience in an accounting environment
• Previous experience in initiating and maintaining accounting ledger and preparing final accounts

The ideal candidate should be:

• Organized, analytical and have the ability to work on own initiative
• Experienced and have the ability to work well under pressure and meet rigid deadlines
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word and experience and understanding of computer accounting systems, budget and financial data, operations and third party billing (Sagicor, Medicus, NHF)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
