Applications are invitedfrom suitably qualified persons to fill the position of:
Administrative Assistant
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the successful candidate is expected to provide support the the Marketing Department, Executives in Residence and the Centre for Excellence on a daily basis. The Administrative Assistant performs secretarial /administrative tasks including: assisting in the planning and coordination of events related to promotion and marketing, monitoring social media channels/services the curate news content, responding to correspondence, directing calls, and maintaining and managing databases/records.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management preferred
- Chartered Professional Secretary (CPS) or Chartered Administrative Professional (CAP) certification an asset
- Three (3) years work experience in a secretarial position and/or administrative capacity
Required Competencies:
- Knowledge of office procedures and records management
- Knowledge of events planning and online systems
- Knowledge of/familiarity with social media tool such as Facebook, Twitter and Youtube
- Proficiency in the use of essential business appplications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Banner
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to perform duties with a hig degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to multi-task, manage time, and work well under pressure
- Abiolity work independently and collaboratively
*Knowledge of basic university mangement structure will be a distinct advantage.
