Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director
This position serves as the primary liaison between the Executive Director and her internal/external partners and stakeholders. The incumbent is expected to provide high level administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Director and the Leadership team.
Other tasks include:
- Diary management, ensuring that the Executive Director's time is used effectively
- Logistics support to meetings and events
- Providing HR support in leave administration, recruitment and staff welfare
- Administrative support for major projects public relations activities
Required Qualifications, Competencies and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or similar qualifications in Business Studies/Management
- At least three (3) years of experience supporting a senior executive
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Advanced word processing skills and experience with Google applications
- Proven ability to manage projects and work collaboratively
- Competency to level 2 Jamaican Sign Language would be an asset
- Teacher training would be an asset
Assistant Bursar - St. Christopher's School for the Deaf
We are searching for a vibrant and dedicated individual to provide administrative and operational support to the Bursar in the management of Financial, Human and Physical Resources at the St. Christopher School for the Deaf.
Required Competencies and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Business Accounting/Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- At least two (2) years experience in Government Accounting or other relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated accounting frugality, professional and emotional maturity
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office operations, electronic banking techniques, occupational safety procedures and QuickBooks would be an asset
- Competence in Jamaica Sign Language (JSL) would be an asset
- Training in Government Procurement Guidelines would be an asset
