Field Technician - Level 3
Qualifications and Experience:
- Four (4) CSEC or equivalent including English and Mathematics, Science and Building subjects preferred
- Training/Certification in Electrical Installation/Computer Operations
- Two (2) years related experience in road construction/traffic management environment
- Driver's license desirable
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
The incumbent is expected to discharge their responsibilities through the attainment of key outputs which include but not limited to the following:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, modify and/or install traffic signals system
- Collect data related to status and condition of traffic signals
- Liaise with contractors carrying out traffic signal works on behalf of the NWA or other agencies
- Operate hand tools and light equipment to dig signal pole foundations or to remove or install existing poles, mixes, pours, and finishes concrete in traffic signal pole bases
- Utilize computer or computer based tools to check, modify and adjust traffic equipment in the performance
