Line Cook (Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands) - Margaritaville Grand Turk

Requirements: 

  • Follow our recipes and cooking procedures to the spec. Our food should look and taste the same every day, regardless of who is cooking.
  • Demonstrate all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Inform a manager or supervisor if at anytime a product is of less quality than our standards. Do not throw anything away without informing a supervisor. Always record any lost product on a waste sheet.
  • Rotate the product correctly so that the oldest product is used first, to minimize waste. Remember food cost and waste is everybody's responsibility.
  • Always properly wrap and store food, using labels and day dots.
  • Produce only the menu items that have been rung into the micros.
  • Report all accidents and injuries immediately to a manager, no matter how small they may seem.
  • Inform management of any missing or damaged equipment.
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and utensils and keep them clean and well maintained.
  • Be able to perform duties, which require bending, kneeling, stooping and reaching.
  • Be able to perform duties, which require standing and exerting fast pace mobility in a confined area for periods up to eight (8) hours or longer.
  • Be able to work in conditions exceeding standard room temperature for periods up to eight (8) hours or longer.

Restaurant Manager (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - Margaritaville Caribbean

 



Margaritaville is seeking a result-driven individual to fill the position of Restaurant Manager at one of our locations. Responsibilities to include the following:

  • The overall operations of the Restaurant
  • Maintaining a high degree of guest and staff member satisfaction while completing day-to-day operations of venue.
  • Ensuring that all company standards, policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring that the highest quality product reach our guests and meets venue specifications.

Carpenter (Montego Bay, Jamaica) - Secrets/Breathless Resorts & Spa

 


Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our hotel’s maintenance team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various wooden structures and fixtures throughout the hotel to ensure a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repair and maintenance of doors, windows, furniture, flooring, paneling, partitions, and other wooden fixtures.
  • Install and assemble cabinetry, shelves, countertops, and other woodwork as needed.
  • Repair or replace damaged woodwork in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine measurements and materials.
  • Ensure all carpentry work complies with local codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance staff to complete larger renovation or improvement projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and inventory of tools and materials.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from other departments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential repair or safety needs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in carpentry is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of wood properties, carpentry techniques, and construction tools.
  • Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Baker (Montego Bay. Jamaica) - Secrets/Breathless Resorts & Spa

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and other desserts, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. The Baker will work closely with the kitchen team to support the overall dining experience offered to guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods for daily hotel operations, including breakfast buffets, events, and restaurant service.
  • Follow established recipes and maintain consistent quality and portion control.
  • Ensure all baked goods are fresh, visually appealing, and meet hotel standards.
  • Monitor stock levels of baking ingredients and communicate supply needs to the kitchen supervisor or purchasing team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning and development of new bakery items as needed.
  • Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and sheeters safely and efficiently.
  • Label, date, and store food properly to prevent waste and contamination.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and support other culinary tasks when required.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Baker in a hotel, restaurant, or commercial bakery.
  • Formal culinary or baking/pastry certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
