Applications are invited to fill the position of: EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF.
Skylark Negril Beach Resort is an expanding boutique hotel located on Negril's famous 7 mile white sand beach. We are looking for a competent person to be employed as Executive Sous Chef to run the kitchen at the world renowned Miss Lilly's Restaurant.
The successful applicant will need:
- Bachelor's degree or accredited certification in Culinary Management
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience at Sous Chef level
- Possess an in depth understanding of tastes and techniques of preparation and presentation necessary for providing Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine with an international sensibility
- Experience to oversee and implement systems and schedules and respond to the specific needs of events while working with a close-knit family of co-workers within the hospitality industry
- Understanding of Cost of Goods Sold and experience in effective cost management in the kitchen
- Manage the kitchen to meet or exceed standards in food quality, safety and cleanliness
- Computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- The motivation and passion to lead an excellent team
