Executive Sous Chef (Negril, Westmoreland) - Skylark Negril Beach Resort

Applications are invited to fill the position of: EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF.

Skylark Negril Beach Resort is an expanding boutique hotel located on Negril's famous 7 mile white sand beach. We are looking for a competent person to be employed as Executive Sous Chef to run the kitchen at the world renowned Miss Lilly's Restaurant.

The successful applicant will need:

• Bachelor's degree or accredited certification in Culinary Management
• Minimum of two (2) years work experience at Sous Chef level
• Possess an in depth understanding of tastes and techniques of preparation and presentation necessary for providing Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine with an international sensibility
• Experience to oversee and implement systems and schedules and respond to the specific needs of events while working with a close-knit family of co-workers within the hospitality industry
• Understanding of Cost of Goods Sold and experience in effective cost management in the kitchen
• Manage the kitchen to meet or exceed standards in food quality, safety and cleanliness
• Computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• The motivation and passion to lead an excellent team
