Laundress
SUMMARY
The Laundress is responsible to ensure that all the laundry needs for the Villa are immaculately done with professionalism and pride. The incumbent will have responsibility for the day to day linen operations. Engaging the guest and delivering a five (5) star quality experience in addition to maintaining the highest level of professional experience at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least four (4) years hands-on experience in the delivery of meticulous laundry operation.
- Certified in Laundry maintenance or Housekeeping.
- Experience working in a five (5) star or five (5) diamond properties.
- Knowledge of hospitality practices and procedures for excellent service.
- Ability to work well and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Ability to operate industry grade washing machines and laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of how to; wash, steam, and mend clothing/linen based on fabric and item design.
- Knowledge of how to iron both clothes and linen based on fabric and item design.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
- Organize household laundry area.
- Sort and catalog items efficiently.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of stain removal and fabric care.
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective organizing and time management skills.
