Steward
The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a kitchen and being part of a thorough and efficient team. He or she will be responsible for maintaining sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position include:
- Observing all environmental regulations, especially chemical handling and disposal procedures, while maintaining the highest levels of sanitation and safety
- Operating ware-washing equipment to clean china, silver and glassware and stacking clean utensils racks in an organised manner
- Washing, rinsing and sanitizing floors, decks, drains, scuppers, ceilings, walls, work tables, counters and shelves
- Ensuring all kitchen and restaurant facilities and equipment are clean and in good working order
- The ability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school leaving certificate/diploma
- Food handlers permit
